A Spring Wedding in Baghdad

My friend Karin has never been conventional. So when she emailed several months ago to tell us that she was engaged and would be tying the knot in Baghdad it didn't seem so strange. She had met her fiance in Iraq and they wanted to get married in the Green Zone. It may be a first.

And really, who else can say that they sat in Saddam's throne on their wedding day?
